Manchester City - the richest club in the Premiership
Manchester City - the richest club in the Premiership

It's been an amazing week at Manchester City.

First they became the richest club in the Premiership after being taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group - who have apparently got the same amount of cash in the bank as fifty Roman Abramovich's.

Then they launched themselves into the transfer market, offering millions of pounds for players across Europe.

They signed Brazilian superstar Robinho for thirty million pounds, but reportedly also bid for Ruud van Nistelroy, Fernando Torres and David Villa.

Then they revealed plans to make a £135 million bid for Cristiano Ronaldo in January, promising 18 new players will arrive in the next transfer window.

Just your average week in the life of a premier league football team!

Century's Ben Ransom's spoken exclusively to City executive chairman Garry Cook at the ground that City fans are affectionately calling Middle Eastlands.
