Cut up the card!
Cut up the card!

Reality TV has been listed as one of the worst ideas of all time.

It's been beaten only by the atom bomb in a list of the top five worst innovations.

The death penalty, plastic bags and credit cards also feature.

So we decided to come up with what we thought were the best inventions! Ditchy went for Sky plus, while Salty went for left handed scissors! Here’s some of the suggestions:

  • Salty is right. Sky plus is phenomenal. Debbie's missing the point. Why sky plus u watch less crap because you record what u want. U can text if u r out and need to record something, and for anyone with a kid it’s like having instant on tap dvds with the ability to replace the collection as often as u want. U can save a whole series then watch like a box set, and u never need argue with loved one about what someone on tv may or may not have said, just rewind! amazing. Carol in wigan
  • Things better than the wheel. Xbox live can't live without it. squiffy in Ellesmere port, just going to bed after a hard night building cars.
  • You're all talking tosh. The greatest invention ever is clearly the motorcycle ! Malc from Leyland.

We also caught up with Kate who was in Moscow for the Champions League final. We ran a few Russian phrases by her and then she tried one of them on a Russian policeman, don’t think he was too impressed!

Congratulations to Andrew Heaton from St Helens who won a pair of front row Shane Ward tickets for his wife Lindsay (That’s what he told us anyway!)

The guess on Mystery Coughs was Gordon Brown

Don’t forget you can still enter our great Salty Sweetstake competition. All you have to do is guess the weight and sex of his unborn child, and you’ll win the baby’s weight in Haribo! Be warned though, time is running out, because there’s been a couple twinges!

And the Golden Hour was 1986 and 1993.
