James

For JAMES, 2008 has been a good year. Having completed a sold out UK tour in April, JAMES released their critically acclaimed new album ‘Hey Ma’, through Mercury Records, peaking at #10 in the UK Album Chart. ‘Hey Ma’ was described by The Times as ‘classic James with intricate instrumental work married to inventive melodies’ and Q, who opined that ‘Tim Booth sounds like a singer reborn’, whilst the shows themselves are best summed up by The Guardian’s assertion that ‘this doesn’t feel like a reformation, but a second coming’.

With a career that includes 10 studio albums, twenty UK Top 40 singles, 12 million albums sold and worldwide touring success; James will also be embarking in a 3 week tour of North American, Canada & Mexico to coincide with releasing their first album in 7 years, ‘Hey Ma’, in the USA.

"This is the best period of James I've ever been involved in. The band is reformed in its strongest line up, (the 'Goldmother' to 'Laid' period) and everything feels fresh and exciting again.” Tim Booth

Ever humble, the trio (and the now settled seven piece line-up last seen together on ‘Gold Mother’, which spawned the hits ‘How Was It For You’, ‘Come Home’, ‘Sit Down’ and ‘Lose Control’ and follow up ‘Seven’) continue to be surprised by the clamour for tickets for shows which has seen both the April tour and last year’s jaunt sell out in record time.
